An Australian-born wildlife filmmaker, Bartlett found early success shooting footage for the television series On Safari with Armand and Michaela Denis (1954). Later work includes the feature length The Incredible Flight of the Snow Geese (1973) and numerous television documentaries, more recently including Survivors of the Skeleton Coast (1995).
