A British television director whose best-known work was on Doctor Who, Barry worked with each of the first four Doctors and helmed 43 episodes of between 1963-1979, beginning with The Dead Planet which featured the first appearance of the Daleks. His other work included Z Cars (1967-1978) and All Creatures Great and Small (1978-1980).
