A successful producer in tandem with Monty Berman, Baker produced such features as The Siege of Sidney Street (1960) before moving into television. There they produced hit shows like The Saint (1962-69) and Gideon’s Way (1965-66), with Baker alone producing The Persuaders! (1971-72) and The Return of the Saint (1978-79).
