In collaboration with Ben Joelson, Baer wrote for many American comedy series including The Andy Griffith Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Odd Couple, Hogan's Heroes and Happy Days. Baer and Joelson also scripted and executive produced The Love Boat, and numerous specials for a variety of TV stars.
