A former fashion journalist, Allen brought her keen eye and considerable talent to bear designing costumes for film when Nic Roeg invited her to work on Don’t Look Now (1973). Other credits include the BAFTA-nominated White Mischief (1987), Mrs Doubtfire (1993), Eyes Wide Shut (1999) and Brokeback Mountain (2005).
