An independent filmmaker for Channel 4 News from 1996, Adler was highly regarded for the integrity and compassion evident in his work. He won the Rory Peck Award for Hard News in 2004 for his film about the US Army in Iraq, On Patrol with Charlie Company - Ivy Blizzard.
