Maya

(20-34-2012)

"Harry Potter deserves more awards"

Laura Kemp

(16-04-2012)

"HARRY POTTER DESERVES MORE AWARDS! so proud of Helena! even though she won it for Kings Speech not for her amazing acting on Harry Potter as Bellatrix which shouldnt go unnoticed! "

Tony Ash

(06-12-2011)

"Harry Potter gets on my nerves....."

Louise

(04-23-2011)

"127 hours was one of the best films of the year yet did not win a single award, which it really does deserve."

Molly

(07-10-2011)

"I can't believe Natalie Portman won over Annette Benning or Hailee Steinfeld. "Black Swan" lacked nuance and presented one dimentional archetypes rather than characters. It was a bit of a snooze! Roentgen, Rush is one of my fellow Australians, not British. I thought he was great but Bale was brilliant and not because he's British but because he inhabits the character, rather than "acting" the part. Inception, definitely the best film of the year."

McKay in the Sky

(02-36-2011)

"Not one nomination for Blue Valentine? Rubbish!"

yogesh

(02-30-2011)

"i hope inception and social network should won many categories and KINGSPEECH WON BAFTA ONLY ITS BRITISH MOVIE AND HOPE AR rehman AGAIN SHOW ITS MAGIC AT OSCARS "

Roentgen

(02-25-2011)

"@J.M.-= Don't be stupid- Nolan as well as Hooper are British directors, so as Bale & Rush are also British actors- so where's favoritism? To other people- Your complaining that "King's Speech won over "The Social Network" because Social network is "the FACEBOOK" so? it doesn't draw any emotion as to compare with King's Speech. One more thing the musical score of Social Network really sucks! I think the BAFTA is right with these awards, although for me I want the Best Director to be awarded either to Nolan, Hopper, or Boyle. Not that they're British - who cares I'm a Filipino anyway- but because these three made the most memorable movie in the 2010 season. My Choice for best picture is "Inception" because the movie was well presented even in fact that the theory of "stealing in a dream" is hard enough to be conveyed. I know it has several untruth but i adds the captivating factor of the film. Inception has a very unique and most drawing music amongst. King's Speech also is simple but very moving film! I was portrayed so well along with the timing and the tone. 127hrs also is remarkable because I know how operation looks like in real life and how a person who is almost hypovolimic feels, thinks and acts. I think Boyle had made again a very wonderful movie and there's no other way 127hrs could be presented better than what Boyle did it is only that there are several movies that are also good .Generally the result is acceptable."

ISRAEL MEDINA

(02-22-2011)

"Everybody talks about the king´s speech and social network, but what about black swan?? it´s a masterpiece, the performances, the direction, the music, the script...It could be the oscar´s surprise"

nimone

(02-15-2011)

"JM: Not only is Christian Bale British, but Geoffrey Rush is Australian..."

Josh

(02-11-2011)

"Why was 127 Hours totally ignored in all its nominated categories? I feel it should have at least got 2 awards. "

Abhimanyu

(02-11-2011)

"inception should have won... the film was brilliant..."

RylandPM

(02-10-2011)

"Black Swan definitely deserved more awards, BEST FILM."

Vasan

(02-46-2011)

"'the king's speech' deserved and won.. Hope same goes out in oscar... "

Brian

(02-31-2011)

"It should be a crime that Toy Story 3 won instead of How To Train Your Dragon."

Roentgen

(18-36-2011)

"@J.M.-= Don't be stupid- Nolan as well as Hooper are British directors, so as Bale & Rush are also British directors- so where's favoritism? Josh

(18-34-2011)

"Personally I'm amazed that Black Swan didn't win more, it should have so much more recognition than it has been given. It's been discredited simply because of that one, very enjoyable, erotic scene and hasn't been taken seriously for what it is, a masterpiece. A truelly mind-boggling and captivating movie. Also, Tom Hardy - what a guy!"

jose

(18-33-2011)

"triumph of the empire. The king's speech is a good good film. But, my favorite are Black Swan. It like me the films that move me, I can't sleep after to see that film. And Natalie Portman is Perfectttt."

johnny

(18-29-2011)

"why don't people see that all the outstanding movies in 2010 can't mess with inception? people didn't understand the movie, most of them think it's to uncreative, don't understanding why it's kept very realistic although they are in dreams (there is a reason, if you didn't get it) nolan is the best director anyway"

psutiger

(18-29-2011)

""J.M.: And Geoffrey Rush is an Aussie...""

Lily

(18-05-2011)

"Devastated that Hans Zimmer didn't win the Bafta for his Inception score; it was incredible! "

DaDude

(14-33-2011)

"To look forward at the oscars, i think its a race between the kings speech and the social network"

AB

(14-33-2011)

"Ridiculous, The Social Network is one of the best films ever made. It certainly deserved more than 3 awards, hope it sweeps the Oscars. The King's Speech did nothing for me - a King who has a stutter and gets over it, fft. Hope it's down to the fact that The King's Speech is a British film.... grrrr"

Penelope

(14-09-2011)

"It really should have been Nolan over Fincher and Bale over Rush."

sam

(14-09-2011)

"i'm so happy dat the king's speech sweeps d BAFTA awards .........."

Jonny

(14-09-2011)

"Give me a break, only 3 BAFTAs for the one of the best films of the last 2 decades: The Social Network? And Oscars will mimic this, you'll see. 12 nominations for The King's Speech? For what?"

Avilesbeach

(14-09-2011)

""THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO "...best film not in the english language? It's a joke??"

marcela

(14-09-2011)

"I can't believe Christian Bale lost. Not that Geoffrey Rush wasn't great, but now Bale's chances for an oscar are slimmer and Rush already won once... "

John To

(14-08-2011)

"As excellent as Geoffrey Rush was in "The King's Speech", I feel Christian Bale should have won for "The Fighter". This oversight will be corrected in Los Angeles."

moogoo

(14-08-2011)

"J.M - Christian Bale IS British! He's from Wales.... So there was no favoring British over American there."

Velan

(14-08-2011)

"I have always felt TOY STORY 3 is one the highly appreciated animation feature....On behalf of all movie fans - Wish all the winners very big CONGRATULATIONS....especially to my favorite Natalie for her outstanding performance in BLACK SWAN."

I'm a Mujahidin, and I'm makin' a scene...

(14-07-2011)

"Only one award for Four Lions. I'm shocked. The King's Speech is overrated. Four Lions deserved best British film."

Dan Warren

(14-49-2011)

"Christopher Nolan is my Best Director. No one can take that away from me"

Dario

(14-48-2011)

"A screenplay was written for Toy Story 3 which they started making. Shortly into production they decided to redo the whole screenplay, with a different writer, into the events of the final film. Hence, it was adapted from an original screenplay."

J.M

(14-48-2011)

"Although the decisions were justifiable, favouratism towards British film is clearly identifiable. Seriously, Geoffery Rush over Christian Bale, Music from the Kings Speech over Inception, Bonham Carter over Amy Adams (surprising to see Melissa Leo not nominated). But i guess, it is the BRITISH academy awards, therefore not the best indicatory for the AMERICAN academy awards."

TraceyG

(14-48-2011)

"Fantastic that Tom won, he is a very dedicated, talented and STILL rising star!!"

Marjolein

(14-47-2011)

"Lovely show again ,but what a great pity Pete Postlewaite did not win the Bafta as supporting actor posthumously!"

S,M,Mayhew

(14-47-2011)

"So the Harry Potter films got an award....just wish Rupert could do a scene {in any film hes in}where he doesn't do "the puffed out cheeks look" such lame acting.Tom Hardy worthy winner."

azhar

(14-46-2011)

"AR rahman din get it....:(:("

M.C.Chua

(14-53-2011)

"British patriotism rules."

Sean

(14-53-2011)

"'The Illusionist' not nominated for Animation Feature? Shocking, it was way better than Toy Story 3!"

Jack

(14-53-2011)

"Toy Story 3 is classed as adapted because it uses characters and settings already established in Toy Story 1&2 Odd i know but it's classed as adapted for the Oscars too."

Daniel

(14-53-2011)

"@Simon Toy Story 3 is an adaptation of Toy Story 1 and 2. Sequals count as adapted screen plays as they are based on previous film(s) characters."

Jess

(14-53-2011)

"@Simon It won best animated film... Not sure what you're reading!"

Eden

(14-52-2011)

"Happy that Girl with the Dragon Tattoo got something."

David Dougan

(14-52-2011)

"Sorry, I'm not having Geoffrey Rush winning ahead of Christian Bale. It's not even close. Toy Story 3 is adapted from Toy Story."

Tom

(14-52-2011)

"Tom Hardy?? Are you kidding me?? Who doctored that one then- purlease. Rising Star? THATS a rising star?"

Anna

(14-52-2011)

"Tom Hardy- one of the least talented actors out there- exudes arrogance and displays trite skills"

Jane Ambrosia

(14-51-2011)

"Toy Story 3 is a sequel, and sequels are always (or almost always) classified as adaptations, as the characters were created elsewhere."

Franky

(14-51-2011)

"In the case of toy story 3 a sequel counts as an adaptation by award standards. Personally i think it is a stupid rule."

John

(14-51-2011)

"QUOTE: ""I'm curious. What was Toy Story 3 an adaptation of? Seems an odd category for it. " Sequels are considered as being based on the original films."

Savanna

(14-51-2011)

"Toy Story 3 is an adapted screenplay because it is a sequel. It comes from an original story but uses the same characters as the first two."

Phil Hobbs

(14-50-2011)

"I think BAFTA got it right this year, but I agreed with 90% of the nominations. I found it odd Tom Hardy, who was excellent in 'Festen' and 'Bronson' was classed as a rising star as to me he's already a big name in the UK. As for Toy Story 3, it's classed as an adapted screen play because it is based upon existing characters from a previous film."

shannon smith

(14-50-2011)

"Whoever insults the social network must be crazy. That film is a triumph. It shows us the story behind something that is so involved in most of our lives. The results aren't suprising though, I think that mostly, the best nominees won each category, apart from special visual effects, that should have gone to harry potter or alice in wonderland and the rising star award should have gone to Andrew Garfield, he is excepitionally talented"

Simon

(13-13-2011)

"I'm curious. What was Toy Story 3 an adaptation of? Seems an odd category for it. "

Design2Express

(13-12-2011)

"I was expecting a large audience but the weather did not allow some to come btw Thanks for such a marvelous show! "

Bill Jenkins

(13-05-2011)

"I can't believe the social network won anything. it was a terrible film with absolutely nothing new or original going for it. How much are facebook sponsoring the BAFTA's this year I wonder."

john

(13-04-2011)

"Enough with Harry Potter, it became dull a while ago."

Chloe

(13-04-2011)

"Tom Hardy is no doubt a brilliant actor and rising star, though it's a shame Andrew Garfield didn't win. "

Sarah

(13-04-2011)

"Sad that Andrew Garfield, a great NEW talent, didn't win."

Alice Jones

(13-05-2011)

"It is sad that there are so few women nominated...even in the short film category where the emerging film makers are noted."

R P

(13-04-2011)

"Why even have American movies nominated?"

Danny V

(13-04-2011)

"Can't see the appeal of The King's Speech. A person of privilege with a stammer? Who cares? Churchill was more critical in rallying English morale than George whatsit. Left me with sympathy for the George who would not be King."

RJ Valentine

(13-16-2011)

"Whilst HBC's performance was excellent, I really feel that Lesley Manville should have taken the BAFTA. Her performance as Mary was just astonishing to watch"

Leah Hinton-Fishlock

(13-25-2011)

"Tom Hardy, he is absolutley captivating in every role he plays"
