Myles McLeod - Our Lucky Character

10 November 09

Art Sparks - AnimationI knew the nominations for the BAFTA Children’s Awards were going to be announced on the 27 October. I’d like to pretend that I wasn’t there at 12.01am clicking the refresh button on the internet page, but I was. My excuse is that I was up late after a long Monday at the Screenwriters Festival in Cheltenham, and thought I’d just take a quick peek to see if the nominations were in.

Greg (the other half of The Brothers McLeod) and I are thrilled to be nominated in two categories (Animation and Learning Primary) for our work Art Sparks with Sharna Jackson at the Tate. It’s a particularly special nomination because we were given so much creative freedom to develop and create the series. Lots of people seem to like our two headed character Orthus (who I’ve just realised also appears in our BAFTA Film Awards nominated film Codswallop).

He must be our lucky character or something!

You can find out more about me and Greg on our website www.bromc.co.uk/ . We have a well established YouTube channel and you can also follow us on Twitter @brothersmcleod .
