A character actor familiar for his role as Les the barman in Men Behaving Badly (1992-1995), Atkins got an early break at The Old Vic in the 1970s. On television he appeared in The Sweeney (1977), Minder (1982) and The Firm (1989) with rare film outings including Personal Services (1987).
