Actress

A Hollywood sweetheart who embodied the girl-next-door persona in the 40s, Allyson's most popular screen roles were as James Stewart's wife in The Stratton Story (1949), The Glenn Miller Story (1954) and Strategic Air Command (1955). Other key credits included the college musical, Good News (1947) and Little Women (1949).
