The masters of satirical comedy, Bird and Fortune, talk to BAFTA about their Life in TV.

BAFTA in association with Radio Times presents a special event looking back on the Life in TV of satirists John Bird and John Fortune.

Bird and Fortune: webcastWith careers stretching back to 1961 the two Johns have clocked up nearly 100 years in television and, in many ways, their collective body of work charts a history of British satirical comedy.

The comedy duo have starred in and written for some of the most seminal television programmes of the past five decades including That Was the Week That Was, Peter Cook’s Establishment Club and, of course, Bremner, Bird and Fortune.

This exclusive webcast features an extended on-stage interview with Bird and Fortune, including a comprehensive look back through their impressive careers and clips from their best-loved shows.

Presenter Clive Anderson probes the pair on what makes their collaborations unique and they offer a unique perspective on the future of TV comedy.
