27 year-old Greg studied Drama and Applied Theatre after which he spent six months with the Royal Court Theatre’s Young Writers Programme. For the last four years he has worked as a freelance researcher for various production companies and in 2010 he co-wrote and assisted director Sara Dunlop on their first short, High.
What first inspired you to write your script?
I wanted to create a character comedy that is controversial, funny and a bit warped.
Which professional screenwriter do you most admire?
If Julia Davis, Sharon Horgan, Liz Brixius & Linda Wallem could merge into one person - it would be them.
Is there a screenplay you have found to be most impactful on your style?
Alan Ball's screenplay for American Beauty. I was 15 when I saw that film and it has influenced everything I've written since. It's a lot funnier than people give it credit for.
What’s your worst habit for procrastinating when you’re supposed to be writing?
Dancing around my flat to David Bowie.
