BAFTA Children & Young People Awards Return

The Awards will coincide with BAFTA's dedicated festival weekend, celebrating its renewed focus for the children’s film, games and television industries

  • 14 awards categories including Non-Scripted, Pre-School Live Action and Young Performer
  • Awards Ceremony to take place on Sunday 27 November at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly
  • Year-round industry and public events confirmed for BAFTA initiatives including Young Creators, Young Game Designers (YGD) and BAFTA Kids’ Roadshow with Place2Be

Nominees announced for the 2022 EE Rising Star Award ahead of the EE BAFTA Film Awards

The only category at the EE BAFTAs voted for by the British public

  • The EE Rising Star Award nominees for 2022 are: Ariana DeBose, Harris Dickinson, Lashana Lynch, Millicent Simmonds and Kodi Smit-McPhee
  • Nominees were selected by a panel of industry jurors including BAFTA-winning actor and director Andy Serkis, filmmaker and actress Sadie Frost and Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery
  • The winner will be announced on Sunday 13th March 2022 at the EE BAFTA Film Awards ceremony on BBC One
  • Celebrating its 17th year, the prestigious EE Rising Star Award is the only category at EE BAFTA Film Awards voted for by the British public and voting is now open at ee.co.uk/BAFTA

  • BAFTA President, The Duke of Cambridge visited BAFTA to hear more about its ongoing support to develop the next generation of talent
  • BAFTA launches new career development bursary fund in the name of HRH The Duke of Cambridge
  • A new tier of BAFTA membership announced for emerging and mid-level professionals
  • BAFTA Elevate to advocate and aid the progression of producers in film and television who are disabled, from minority ethnic backgrounds and low-socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • BAFTA headquarters at 195 Piccadilly redeveloped as a centre of creative excellence with a new dedicated learning space to enable an expansion of the arts charity’s learning and new talent development programmes
