Operational Note: EE British Academy Film Awards in 2016

[OPERATIONAL NOTE]

Operational information on the EE British Academy Film Awards for members of the media.

The EE British Academy Film Awards will take place on Sunday 14 February 2016 and will be held for the tenth year running at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.  Sponsored by EE and hosted by Stephen Fry, the Awards will be broadcast exclusively on BBC ONE and BBC ONE HD that evening, preceeded by a red carpet show on BBC THREE.  

MEDIA ACCREDITATION:

Please note that the accreditation process for working media wishing to cover the EE British Academy Film Awards in 2016 is the same as in 2015 – and is via the BAFTA website.

Further details of this process can be found below. All working media must apply for accreditation in advance.  Please ensure your application has been submitted by 17:00 on Thursday 4 February 2016. Please note that applications for accreditation do not automatically guarantee access to the event, each application will be handled individually.

MEDIA WHO APPLY AFTER THURSDAY 4 FEBRUARY WILL NOT BE ACCREDITED

ACCREDITATION PROCESS FOR 2016:

Working media wishing to cover the EE British Academy Film Awards in 2016 must complete an online application via the following link:

www.bafta.org/press/accreditation

Accreditation applications will not be accepted unless submitted via the official link above. Please contact the accreditation team on [email protected] if you have a question about the online form or if you are experiencing technical problems.

The accreditation team will review all accreditation applications and respond to all media week commencing 8 February 2016.

MEDIA ACCESS

There are a number of separate media areas at the event and all accredited media will be notified in advance which areas they are accredited for:

  • Red carpet arrivals
  • Media centre
  • Winners photography and photography wiring room
  • Winners press conference
  • Deadline print
  • Grosvenor House red carpet arrivals

Media wishing to apply for accreditation to multiple areas will be able to choose from a number of pre-determined combinations via the online application page.

16:45                ROH doors open to guests
                         Red carpet arrivals commence

18:30                ROH doors closed
                         Red carpet arrivals draw to a close

21:15                Ceremony finishes
