Marvin Humes To DJ At The BAFTAs

Capital FM star presenter will play a set at the official After Party at Sunday’s Arqiva British Academy Television Awards

London, 16 May 2014: The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced that Marvin Humes, television presenter, DJ and former member of world-renowned boyband JLS, will play a set at the official After Party at this Sunday’s Arqiva British Academy Television Awards at Grosvenor House, London.

With a daily evening show and as presenter of the Big Top 40 on Capital FM, Marvin Humes will DJ to 1,250 BAFTA guests including award winners, nominees and other leading names from the world of television.

Amanda Berry OBE, Chief Executive of BAFTA, said: “Marvin is a talented young artist who has already achieved so much in his career. I’m absolutely thrilled he will be the DJ at the Television Awards’ After Party, helping us celebrate another fantastic year in television.”

Marvin Humes said: “It’s an absolute honour to have been invited to DJ at BAFTA’s Television Awards this year. This night is an integral part of recognising the very best of our TV talent and it’s an awards show I've always looked forward to watching every year, so to now be a part of it is just brilliant. I'm most looking forward to seeing all of the nominees and winners letting their hair down on the night and just having a great time whilst I provide the soundtrack to celebrate an incredible year in British TV!’

The Arqiva British Academy Television Awards will be hosted by Graham Norton at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London and broadcast, 8pm on BBC One this Sunday, 18 May. The official After Party takes place at Grosvenor House, London.
