British Academy Television Craft Awards to take place on Sunday 24 April

House of Fraser British Academy Television Awards to take place on Sunday 8 May

London, 18 February 2015: The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has today announced the key dates for the upcoming British Academy Television Craft Awards and House of Fraser British Academy Television Awards. The awards are presented annually to recognise and honour individuals for outstanding achievement in television.

The award categories across both ceremonies reflect the wealth and diversity of British television, and include those for Writer, Director and Editing, Costume Design and Special, Visual & Graphic Effects (Television Craft Awards) and Drama Series, International, Scripted Comedy, Current Affairs and Reality & Constructed Factual (Television Awards).

BAFTA also recognises certain individuals’ significant contribution to the television industry with awards in the gift of the Academy, which are approved by the Television Committee and ratified by the Board of Trustees and presented at the aforementioned ceremonies.   

This year’s British Academy Television Craft Awards will take place on Sunday 24 April at the Brewery, in the City of London.

This year’s House of Fraser British Academy Television Awards will take place on Sunday 8 May at the Royal Festival Hall on London’s iconic Southbank.

Tuesday 22 March – Nominations announced: British Academy Television Craft Awards

Tuesday 29 March – Nominations announced: Radio Times Audience Award (to be presented at the House of Fraser British Academy Television Awards)

Wednesday 30 March – Nominations announced: House of Fraser British Academy Television Awards (live press conference)

Wednesday 20 April – Joint Nominees Party

Sunday 24 April – British Academy Television Craft Awards ceremony

Sunday 8 May – House of Fraser British Academy Television Awards ceremony

The recipients of the BAFTA Fellowship and Special Awards will be announced in the coming months.
