Christina Thomas was appointed as the first Chief Executive of BAFTA New York in 2006.
A seasoned industry professional based in New York, she was previously the long time Chairman of the New York Board, leading BAFTA New York - along with Freddie Hancock and Gillian Rose - from a small original associate of BAFTA to fully formed New York branch. During this period events and screening grew from less than half a dozen a year to nearly 100 annual events.
