Jeff Cotugno, Board Member, Treasurer

Jeff CotugnoFor the past 27 plus years, Jeff Cotugno has worked for Don Taffner/DLT Entertainment Ltd in various financial, business and administrative positions.

Starting out as financial controller for DLT, which at that time was primarily in the U.S. syndication and worldwide distribution businesses, his position grew alongside the company’s increased activities.

In the early eighties, DLT expanded its business to include international TV production with the establishment of new offices in Toronto, Vancouver and Dublin in addition to enlarging the existing offices in NY, LA, London and Sydney.

Jeff’s responsibilities included supervising all of the budgets for each of these offices and working closely with the individual line producers. He also performed all Treasury functions in consultation with the company’s bankers to manage the cash flow and minimize any debt.

DLT subsequently expanded into the theatre business with an ownership position in an Off-Broadway theatre, co-production of a number of plays and musicals and the acquisition of the Theatre of Comedy in London. TOC’s home is the Shaftesbury Theatre which is primarily rented to third-party producers.

In addition to responsibility for all financial aspects of the Theatre, Jeff is also involved in all negotiations with the producers to bring their shows into the theatre. Over the years these shows have included: Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Carousel, Rent, High Society, Daddy Cool, Fame and Hairspray, which won the 2008 Olivier Award for Best Musical.

On the TV side, in addition to DLT’s continuing worldwide distribution activities, it currently produces the multi-award winning sitcom, My Family, which just completed its tenth year of production for the BBC.

Jeff Cotugno’s current position is Chief Operation Officer where he works closely with the company president, Don Taffner Jr., in all aspects of the company’s businesses.
