Finance Committee

Chair: Jeff Cotugno

MISSION: To maintain oversight of the Academy’s finances. Develop and administer appropriate and successful financial plans and procedures to ensure the present and future financial health of the Academy while operating within the framework of the BAFTA in New York Inc’s by-laws and overall mission statement.

Television Committee

Chair: Charles Tremayne

MISSION: To produce entertaining events that showcase British television programming and television trends and introduce British talent to American audiences. The focus is also to educate BAFTA members on challenges facing the television industry on both sides of the Atlantic. We can do this through panel discussions, screenings and one-on-one evenings with particular guests. Also to work on New Media events to bring all the latest in new technology and developments in this area to BAFTA members.

Film Committee

Chair: Liza Burnett Fefferman
Co-Chair: Maria Zuckerman

MISSION: To provide our membership with an environment that fosters the education and advancement of motion picture arts through film screenings, Q&A’s, panel discussions and other events. This may include panels addressing film development or finance, British film weeks to showcase British films in New York and other events to bolster our relationships with film groups such as the Tribeca Film Center, Lincoln Center and the French Institute. Furthermore, we will investigate potential partnerships with screenings to create a 'home base' for BAFTA in New York screenings.

Screening Committee

MISSION: To maintain the day to day relationships with the film companies. To present BAFTA in New York as a desirable guild for screenings, with talent when possible. To work with the studios to create successful screening events which create a sense of community among our members. To run the invitations and the RSVP side for all BAFTA in New York events

Educational Outreach

MISSION: To work with schools and college groups to expand the role of BAFTA New York in the community. Activities include film screenings for community groups, developing scholarship and mentoring programs for undergraduates in NYC area.
