Liza Burnett Fefferman is Executive Vice President, Publicity for RADiUS–TWC, the new label from The Weinstein Company where she oversees and executes PR campaigns for the company’s slate in additional to handling corporate communications.
Before joining IDP, Fefferman ran her own PR and marketing firm. Clients included several film production companies, the New York Jets, and Conde Nast’s domino magazine.Prior to joining RADiUS, Fefferman spent five years as Senior Vice President of Publicity for Samuel Goldwyn Films and ATO Pictures (via their partnership in IDP - Independent Distribution Partners) where she oversaw all PR campaigns for each company’s slate and managed corporate publicity for both entities. Fefferman was also responsible for awards’ campaigns, film festivals, premieres, tastemaker screenings and special interest programs while serving as point person for directors, actors and producers. IDP titles she oversaw include “2 Days in Paris,” “Elegy,” “Fireproof,” “Harry Brown,” “Mao’s Last Dancer” and “Casino Jack” among others.
In 2005, Fefferman joined The Weinstein Company (TWC), as Executive Vice President, Publicity where she reported directly to Harvey and Bob Weinstein. There, she orchestrated and managed campaigns for all TWC titles including: "Hoodwinked," "Transamerica," "Scary Movie 4," "Derailed" and "The Matador" while guiding the young company to four Oscar nominations and seven Golden Globe nominations including a Golden Globe win for Felicity Huffman.
Prior to The Weinstein Company, Fefferman was Senior Vice President, Dan Klores Communications, where she founded DKC/Film. While there, she developed and implemented national campaigns for film and television clients including: USA Films/Focus Features, New Line, Lionsgate, IFC, Wellspring, Palm Pictures, John Sloss & Cinetic Media, THINKFilm, GreeneStreet Films, Jean Doumanian Productions, Iridium Entertainment ("The Door in the Floor"), Guy Walks Into A Bar ("Elf"), IFP, Showtime Networks, Inc., Court TV, VH1 and USA Network. She also worked with high-profile talent including Jennifer Lopez, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Paula Abdul, Susan Sarandon, Britney Spears, Vincent Gallo, Trudie Styler, Jeffrey Tambor, Mary J. Blige, and Lil' Kim.
In 2004, Fefferman was named one of PR Week's "Top 10 Rising Stars Under 30." Fefferman has also served as Associate Producer on two films, "Ring of Fire: The Emile Griffith Story" (USA Network) and "The Boys of 2nd Street Park (Showtime) both of which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
She is a graduate of Union College.
