Winner's acceptance speech by on behalf of ITV Studios and ITV for Emmerdale in the Soap and Continuing Drama category
SPEAKER: Hi. I am sorry it is not one of the attractive, famous people doing this, but my wife told me if I didn't do it, then she would slap me a bit about, so she is more my boss than anyone else. I just want to say thank you so much to BAFTA. Thank you to ITV, particularly John Whiston and Jane Hudson for their staunch support for the show. Thank you to the viewers and fans. Your passion is a constant source of inspiration for all of us standing here and I am accepting this, not only on behalf of the people standing on this stage or indeed the amazing cast, crew, writers, editorial team and backroom staff that have worked on the show for the past 12 months, but for everybody that has worked on the show for the last 15 years or so it has been since we have won one of these. So this means an awful lot to us. So thanks very much. It means the world to us. Thanks.
