EE British Academy Film Awards in 2013 - Winners Acceptance Speech: Short Animation

10 February 2013
BAFTA winners at the Royal Opera House collecting their awards from a range of presenters at the EE British Academy Film Awards ceremony on Sun 10 Feb 2013.

Acceptance speech by Will Anderson and Ainslie Henderson, winners of the Short Animation category for The Making of Longbird at the EE Britsh Academy Film Awards in 2013.

WILL ANDERSON:  Thank you.  Thank you.  I am very honoured.  Thank you BAFTA.

I would like to say a big thank you to the Edinburgh College of Art, that is where this film was made, it was a graduation film.  I am not going to name names because I will get them wrong or I will say the wrong name and it will be very embarrassing.  So the people that made it work was Ainslie, Fitterly, Tobias, Atsie and Keith.  They are the main folk that made this work and it would not have worked without them.

Thank you very much and thank you Longbird, you have made us proud.

Do you have anything to say?

AINSLIE HENDERSON:  I would like to thank you, Will, for this mad journey that we seem to be on with this film.  And I should wish my mum happy birthday, it is her birthday today.
