Voting opens for The EE Game of The Year Award ahead of the 2022 BAFTA Games Awards

  • BAFTA Games Awards partners with EE, the UK’s number one network for gaming, to announce the return of the EE Game of the Year Award – the only award to be voted for by the public
  • The 2022 nominees are: Chicory: A Colorful Tale, Deathloop, It Takes Two, Metroid Dread, The Forgotten City and Unpacking
  • The community of games fans can now vote for the EE Game of the Year Award at: https://ee.co.uk/why-ee/baftagames
  • Nominations for all other categories will be announced on Thursday 3rd March with the winners announced at the BAFTA Games Awards on Thursday 7th April 2022

  • The 2021 nominees are: Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Call of Duty: Warzone, Ghost of Tsushima, Hades, The Last of Us 2 and VALORANT
  • Global community of games fans can now vote for the EE Game of the Year Award at ee.co.uk/BAFTAGames
  • Nominations for all other categories will be announced Tuesday 2nd March 2021, with the winners announced at the BAFTA Games Awards on Thursday 25th March 2021

BAFTA Games Awards hands control over to games fans, as it unveils new EE Game of the Year Award voted for by the public

  • EE partners with British Academy Games Awards for the third year and introduces an all-new publicly voted category to the Awards: the new EE Game of the Year Award
  • The UK’s number one network for gaming will give fans at home the opportunity to have their say and vote for their favourite game 
  • The shortlist will be announced on Tuesday 23rd February 2021, when voting will open to the public, with the award announced at the virtual ceremony on 25th March 2021
  • Nominations for all other categories at the BAFTA Games Awards will be announced Tuesday 2nd March

BAFTA Games Awards 2021 open for entry

  • Entry opens with pilot for BFI Diversity Standards & bullying, harassment and racism guidance in the British Game category 
  • Awards eligibility is not affected in this pilot year 
  • Entrants in the British Game category will be asked to provide information on their companies’ production practices - including policy and procedure on bullying, harassment and racism in the workplace - as part of pilot
  • BAFTA Games Awards to take place in March 2021, date tbc
