The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced a week-long deadline extension - from 30 November 2021 to 6 December 2021 5.00 PM IST - for the submission of applications for its BAFTA Breakthrough India initiative.

• 20 mentees from underrepresented backgrounds have received bespoke career support throughout 2021, empowering them to help shape the future of film and television
• Charlie Covell, Laurie Nunn, Anne Mensah, Mae Martin, Babak Anvari and Shannon Murphy are among those who have shared their expertise as mentors

Guneet Monga (Film), Vishal Gondal (Games) and Ratna Pathak Shah (Television) will share their professional expertise with Breakthrough participants.

The 12th annual competition to find the best young game designers in the UK is now open for entry at ygd.bafta.org
