Children's Awards Nominations 2018 Announced

The nominations for the British Academy Children's Awards in 2018 have been announced

The British Academy Children’s Awards, BAFTA’s annual ceremony celebrating the best in global children’s media, takes place at Roundhouse, London, on Sunday 25 November.

Today’s nominations announcement includes:

  • Three nominations for The Amazing World of Gumball, Hey Duggee, Horrible Histories, Grandpa’s Great Escape, Joe All Alone and Katy
  • New ‘Content for Change’ category sees nominations for My Life – Hike To Happiness, Newsround Inspirational Stories, Reply With A Full Stop If You Get This and What Do You Mean I Can’t Change The World?
  • All first-time nominees in the ‘Young Performer’ category: Chloe Lea in Katy, Daniel Frogson in Joe All Alone, Bella Ramsey in The Worst Witch and Tasha Lawrence in Sarah & Duck
  • CBeebies receives its 12th consecutive nomination for Channel, the only channel to receive one every year since the category was introduced in 2006; last year’s winner TrueTube, first-time nominee Hopster and CBBC complete the category’s line-up
