Ian Abercrombie: A Celebration of Life

Earlier this year, BAFTA Los Angeles was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of long-time friend and former Board Member, Ian Abercrombie. Memorial details have now been confirmed.

An experienced actor with a wealth of credits to his name, Ian was perhaps best known for his role as Justin Pitt in Seinfeld and to younger audiences as 800-year-old wizard Professor Crumbs on Wizards of Waverly Place.

His film credits include Von Ryan's Express, They Shoot Horses, Don't They, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Marilyn Hotchkiss’ Ballroom Dancing and Charm School, and Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties and the recent animated hit Rango.

Ian was a familiar face at all BAFTA Los Angeles events, having been a Member since BAFTA Los Angeles was founded 25 years ago.

Ian will be sorely missed by his many friends and colleagues. Survivors include his brothers Douglas, Donald and Alex.
