BAFTA Los Angeles was established in California in 1987 and serves as a bridge between the Hollywood and British production and entertainment business communities.
Comprised of Members from all disciplines of the industry, BAFTA Los Angeles supports, develops and promotes the art forms of the moving image, by identifying and rewarding excellence, inspiring practitioners and benefiting the public.
BAFTA Los Angeles hosts seminars and panel discussions, brings film and filmmakers to inner city groups, provides scholarships for student filmmakers, and preserves archival interviews with prominent UK artists and technicians for the education of future generations. We nurture and support emerging filmmakers, encourage continued studies of the arts, and provide insights into new advances in technologies.
