Full Voting Membership
Full Voting Members are entitled to the full benefits of BAFTA Membership, including events and screenings in the UK, New York and Los Angeles. Where applicable, voting Members are eligible to vote in their relevant sector Awards (Film, TV and/or Video Games). All applicants must currently work and have at least five years professional experience in a creative, technical or executive role directly related to the production of either feature films, television programming and video games distributed in the UK.
Applicants based in the Western region of the US and who are accepted as members of BAFTA Los Angeles will also be eligible to participate in Los Angeles Board and Committee elections.
Current Full Voting BAFTA Los Angeles Membership Annual Dues: $400
(A one-time administration fee of $150 is payable upon acceptance of application)

BAFTA Los Angeles Professional Membership
The BAFTA Los Angeles Professional Membership category is for qualified people actively involved with the entertainment industry and allied industry working across the US and the UK. Professional members are afforded many of the same benefits as Full Voting Members but are not eligible to vote in BAFTA Awards or Elections.
The Los Angeles Membership Committee will consider admission to BAFTA Los Angeles. Applicants will be be subject to approval by the Los Angeles Board of Directors on the basis of whether the applicant has a substantial body of work in the film, television or closely-associated industries.
Professional Membership Candidates must meet the following criteria:
A demonstrated commitment, ability, and desire to promote the profile and support the goals of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in Los Angeles.
A significant and notable contribution to the media of the moving image, including, but not limited to, the production and/or distribution of feature films, television programming, video games and/or other forms of digital media irrespective of the platform, or associated industries in the UK.
A significant and notable contribution to the media of the moving image, including, but not limited to, the production and/or distribution of UK feature films, television programming, video games and/or other forms of digital media irrespective of the platform, or associated industries in the US.
Meeting the above requirements does not guarantee acceptance of Membership. The criteria set forth above on this application should be understood to be the minimum requirements but not necessarily sufficient in and of themselves. The Committee's evaluation of the foregoing shall be in its good-faith discretion subject to review and ratification by the Board of Directors.
The Professional Membership year runs from July 1 to June 30th. Professional Membership dues are $300 annually and upon acceptance a one-time administration fee of $150 is payable.
Applications for Professional Membership can be submitted throughout the year. The next deadline for consideration is September 30, 2016.

Professional Members can apply for Full Voting Membership in the future providing they meet the qualifications for that membership at the time of application subject to Board Approval. Professional Members are not eligible to vote for any BAFTA Awards or elections in any BAFTA branch or affiliate. Professional Members are encouraged to join BAFTA Los Angeles Committees but cannot Chair or Co-Chair a Los Angeles Committee or serve as a Co-Opted Director or run for a seat on the BAFTA Los Angeles Board.
