Musician Moby has cited the David Lynch event as the main inspiration behind his new album: "I started working on the album about a year ago, and the creative impetus behind the record was hearing a david lynch speech at BAFTA."

The multi-talented Lynch is not only a director but a writer, producer, editor, performance artist and painter.

His work on the big screen ranges from short to feature length films, including the BAFTA and Oscar-nominated The Elephant Man (1980), Blue Velvet (1986), Wild At Heart (1990), Mulholland Drive (2001) and, most recently, INLAND EMPIRE (2006) His television work includes the Emmy Award-winning series Twin Peaks (1990-1991).
