Key responsibilities:

1) Working with the Director, BAFTA Scotland Committee and BAFTA Learning and Events Team to programme and deliver a Scotland-wide Learning and Events programme, featuring talent from the film, television and games industries and working in line with the objectives of BAFTA Scotland and the BAFTA Learning and Events strategy.

2) Coming up with a stream of imaginative, ambitious and high value ideas for sustaining, developing and expanding BAFTA Scotland's Learning and Events programme.

3) Working with the Director and team in helping to market and promote BAFTA Scotland’s Learning and Events programme to BAFTA members, industry colleagues and the general public.
4) Delivering events in person, ensuring the highest possible standard of professionalism, with acute attention to detail and care for the BAFTA brand and stamp of quality.

5) Working with the Director, team and BAFTA Scotland Committee to manage, develop and expand BAFTA Scotland's audience reach for the Learning and Events programme.

6) Working with the Director to maintain BAFTA Scotland's excellent relationships with industry partners throughout the screen industries and helping to forge new relationships and partners.
7) Working with the Director in managing and making the most of the Learning and Events budget.

8) Highlighting and pursuing sponsorship opportunities and other funding sources to help deliver and grow an ambitious programme of events.

9) Working with the Director to programme or manage special projects which raise the profile of BAFTA Scotland’s charitable remit with key audiences.

10) Working with the Director and team as required to assist with other BAFTA Scotland work.


Essential Criteria:

• A passion for the screen industries in Scotland and the UK, with informed knowledge, awareness and interest in film, television and interactive entertainment.

• Strong team player able to take direction but also capable of working on own initiative with creativity, productivity and enthusiasm.

• Proactive personality, ambitious attitude and dynamic approach to work.

• Positive upbeat nature with excellent communication and Interpersonal skills.

• Ideas person with proven research skills.

• Sound editorial judgement and huge attention to detail.

• High level experience of Production and/or Event Management.

• Experience and confidence in working with major screen industry talent.

• Ability to work to deadlines, priortise workloads and handle a number of tasks under pressure.

• Flexible and positive attitude to working evenings and weekends where necessary.

• High level of computer literacy.
