BAFTA in partnership with Rocliffe, and supported by The London Book Fair, is calling for scripts from emerging writers of children’s media, for a chance to present their work to influential members of the film and television industries. 

The competition offers entrants the chance to present their work to influential members of the children’s media industry.

This competition is open to all writers, resident in the UK or of UK citizenship. The extracts must have a focus on content for children including feature films, single dramas, mini-series, sitcom, comedy-drama and animation.

The Prize includes three projects to be showcased at an event at BAFTA on 12 September and given industry introductions.  Shortlisted writers also become part of the BAFTA Rocliffe Alumni, which provides a wide range of development opportunities including workshops and support.  In addition, as part of the partnership with The London Book Fair, a writer from one of the three projects will be taken to MIP Junior in Cannes in October 2015. 

Early Bird Deadline for submissions – 4 July 2015. 17.00 hard copy or 22:00 email entries.

Final Deadline for submissions – 27 July 2015. 17.00 hard copy or 22:00 email entries.

Entry Fees: £6 for Early Bird Entry Cost: £12 for Final Deadline Entry. There is an additional fee of: £10 to email entries to cover the admin and printing costs
