Best known as half of a comedy double act with younger brother Bernie, Winters came to national prominence on the pop show Six-Five Special (1957-58). Big stars on the variety circuit, they translated their success to television with Mike & Bernie’s Music Hall (1967) and Mike & Bernie’s Scene (1970).
