A founding member of the Eastenders cast, Wing starred as doughty matriarch Lou Beale between 1985 and 1988. As well as extensive television work –including the pre-Albert Square market soap Honey Lane (1967-69) – she appeared in films including Billy Liar (1963), Providence (1977), Tooth (2004) and Son of Rambow (2007).
