A British snooker player and commentator whose professional career spanned from 1974-2001, Thorne first began commentating on snooker for the BBC during the 1980s and also had stints with Sky and ITV. Thanks to his dry wit and knowledge of the game, he became one of the sport’s defining voices for a generation of British fans.
