An American television consultant who was the first to be hired by a political campaign, Wilson produced commercials for the Democratic Party in 1956. He crucially used his expertise in the medium to negotiate the terms of the iconic televised 1960 Presidential debate between Nixon and Kennedy on behalf of the latter.
