As an actress Valery had small roles in such films as Kind Hearts & Coronets (1949) and What The Butler Saw (1950). But her lasting legacy is as a writer, scripting episodes of Crossroads (1975-76), Angels (1975-76), The Cedar Tree (1977) and most especially the popular wartime drama Tenko (1981-84).
