A British editor known for his groundbreaking work alongside director Ridley Scott, Rawlings began his career working purely in sound before proving himself cutting picture on The Sentinel (1977) and Watership Down (1978). He received BAFTA nominations for his work on Isadora (1968), Women in Love (1969), Alien (1979), Chariots of Fire (1981) and Blade Runner (1982).
