A British executive who became Head of Commercial Development at Film4 in 2004, Bruce-Smith joined Tessa Ross during a golden era for the company and shaped films including 12 Years a Slave (2013) and The Favourite (2018). She was promoted to Deputy Director in 2017, and received a BAFTA Tribute in 2019 in recognition of her integral role at the epicentre of British cinema.
