An American filmmaker considered one of the great photographers of surfing, Miller produced a series of influential surf films for Rip Curl. In the early 2000s he began working as a camera operator on Hollywood productions including Blue Crush (2002), Die Another Day (2003) and Lords of Dogtown (2005).
