Based in Britain for much of his career, Schneer enjoyed a fruitful collaboration with visual effects legend Ray Harryhausen, making fantasy films such as The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad (1958) and Jason and the Argonauts (1963). His other credits include You Must Be Joking (1965) and Half A Sixpence (1967).
