Satoru Iwata

A Japanese game programmer who coded his first game at HAL Laboratory in 1983, Iwata became the company’s president in 1993 before joining Nintendo in 2000 where he was appointed president in 2002. He brought huge success through the Nintendo DS and similar products aimed at non-gamers, and during his presidency Nintendo won 16 BAFTAs.
