An American writer and producer who co-created the revolutionary animated sitcom The Simpsons (1989-), Simon drew cartoons from a young age and began his career as a storyboard artist. He worked on sitcoms Taxi (1981-1983) and Cheers (1982-1985) before joining The Tracey Ullman Show (1987-1990) from which The Simpsons was spawned.
