A British cinematographer best known for his collaborations with Richard Attenborough on films including Chorus Line (1985), Taylor first met the director while working as a camera operator on Boys in Brown (1959). He shot and received BAFTA nominations for Gandhi (1982) and Cry Freedom (1987), winning and Oscar for the former.
