Generations of EastEnders fans know Richard as Pauline, the feisty matriarch of the Fowler clan, a role she played from the first episode in 1985 until 2006. Before that she was familiar as Miss Brahms in Are You Being Served? (1975-85), having already accrued many credits in television and film.
