One of ITV’s first stars, Reynolds and her husband Leslie Randall appeared in commercial television’s first hit sitcom, Joan & Leslie (1955-57) and its sequel The Randall Touch (1958). Efforts to translate this success to Australia and the US foundered and, after their divorce in 1978, Reynolds retired from acting.
