Fons Rademakers

One of the first Dutch directors to gain international recognition, Rademakers learnt his craft assisting the likes of Jean Renoir and Vittorio De Sica. His breakthrough came with Village By The River (1958), and he found further success with Because Of The Cats (1973) and Oscar winner The Assault (1958).
