An American character actor known for his villainous roles, Boothe notably turned antagonist in the likes of Extreme Prejudice (1987), Tombstone (1993) and Sin City (2005). On television his defining role came in the short-lived but cult western drama Deadwood (2004-2006) where he starred as brothel owner Cy Tolliver.
