A British broadcaster and executive who made a mark with viewers presenting shows such as Sportsview (1957-1964), and as an executive Dimmock organised, produced and directed the televised Queen’s Coronation in 1953. He became the BBC’s Head of Outside Broadcasts from 1954 to 1972 and was also the corporation’s Royal liaison.
