A British actor best known for starring as Derek Wilton for over 20 years on Coronation Street (1976-1997), Baldwin’s character was the fusspot husband of Thelma Barlow’s Mavis, with whom he developed a winning comedy partnership. Baldwin trained at the Bristol Old Vic theatre school and worked primarily in theatre and television.
