A Welsh actress whose career was launched on the London stage, Cummins was discovered aged 18 by Hollywood producer Darryl F Zanuck. Her best known role came in Gun Crazy (1950) as one half of a gun-toting married couple on the run, who pushes her husband deeper into a life of crime.
